"Many of these new images were created in France, Fall
2006. They include long exposures (up to 5 minutes) capturing
the soft interior light in medieval village homes and grand
Loire Valley chateaus. I find the daily life in these tiny medieval
villages completely fascinating. Many of the activities haven't
changed in 100's of years. The ancient practice of 'transhumance'
the herding of flocks of sheep and other animals from high pastures
to the warmer valleys for the winter is captured in the bizarre
image titled 'Transhumance a Roc Cascade.' "
